Our Family's History

Hernando Siscar Jr. is the seventh child of Hernando Siscar Sr and Consuelo Hubero, he was born on 13 October 1965. He took his elementary schooling at the West Visayas State College now a University at Lapaz, Iloilo City from 1972 - 1978. His teacher when he was in grade one was, Maam Tendencia - Miss Paguntalan then, in grade two, Maam Dairo and in grade three, Maam Gaton, grade four, Maam Marla and in grade five, Mr. Cabag and grade six, Maam Grinien.

He took his secondary schooling at the West Visayas State College High School and his teachers were: first year - Maam Geroche, second year - Maam Tendencia, third year - Maam Jucaban, fourth year - Maam Siloriquez.

He took up Bachelor of Arts in Civil Engineering at the University of San Agustin in 1982 and graduated in 1987. After graduation he worked with the National Irrigation Administration in Mambusao, Capiz. In 1990, he went to training as a P2LT at Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal. He graduated in 1991 with the rank of 2LT and was assigned with 22IB, 2ID, PA in Bicol until 1996, he was then transfered to 74IB in Bondoc Peninsula, Quezon Province until 1999 then was transfered to OJ2, GHQ, AFP Camp Aguinaldo until August 2002, then he went on schooling in Fort Magsayasay in Nueva Ecija, after his graduated he was assigned in Camp Simeon Ola in Legazpi City from 1 March 2003 to date.

Anne Joy Halanes Siscar, is the fourth child of Antonio Halanes and Leonora Sullano, she was born on 31 December 1975. Anne Joy took her elementary schooling from 1983 to 1987 at the Pavia Pilot Elemetary School then transfered in 1989 at the San Jose College, Jaro Iloilo City. She took her secondary schooling at San Jose College from 1989 to 1993, then took up a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from 1993 to 1997 at the St. Paul's College, Iloilo City.

Presently Anne Joy is a dedicated Mother and Homemaker, she is in charge for the care of Herianne and Annrhe. She manages the home and has the responsibility for the upbringing of the children. Well, the kids are doing well and happy - and that's the beauty of life.

Herianne or "Yanyan" was born on 17 July 1998, she is now six years and ten months old and talks a lot. She likes to eat strawberries, pears, apples, mango, watermelon and many other fruits. She also likes vegetables, fish and shrimps. She doesn't like spaghetti, any thing with tomato sauce, maaslum kuno. 

Yanyan had already graduated from Kinder School and she would go to the Pavia Elementary Science School. She very well knows how to read, write and color. We saw that the importance in schooling is the dedication of parents to teach and follow up the studies of the children. And that's what was proven by the  efforts of Yanyan and Mama. She is having piano classes and is very eager to learn. She knows how lesson 1 already Woodchuck and her peice Long Long Ago. She aks for the piano of her lola though, it have to be fix yet. 

Annrhe or "Starry" can hardly wait to read. Often she pretends to know how to read though, she knows how to write her name already. They are having special class with Mama to prepare her come June 2005. She likes to sing and play. She is a happy person, wants to play alot, laugh and giggles. 

Our Family Roots

The Siscar's came from Molo who came from Ibajay, Aklan with its roots from Batangas Province. There are other Siscar clans all over the country, they are in Ilocos Norte, Albay, Lucena City, Romblon and Mindoro. Last September when I went to Mindoro I met a certain Floro Siscar who owns a hardware in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, his son is Fred. Also I was able to meet an old woman who was alos a Siscar in Mindoro who resides in Marinduque. There is also a certain Jerry Siscar from Barotac though his name was only mentioned to me. In Ligao Albay there is also a Siscar Family there.

The Sons and Daughters of Hernando Locsin Siscar Sr. and Consuleo Hubero Siscar are Michelangelo, Edgar, Henry, Grace, Sherwin, Joy, Hernando Jr. and Jason.

The Sons and Daughters of Antonio Halanes and Leonora Sullano Halanes are Alan, Aladin, Analiza, Anne Joy, and Alcaid.
